5 way junction proposals
I have received the following from Matt Longstaff regarding my previous post about the Fitzwalter Road/Stafford Road/Glencoe Road junction. It’s great news that they are now considering the possibility of a mini roundabout, so if you agree with this option I would urge you to write to Mr Longstaff and lobby your councillors.
It does seem strange that in these days of mobile technology the council can’t even get its act together to put proposals like this on their website. Definitely room for improvement here!
Dear Mr Wroe,
Thank you for your email dated 25th September 2010 in response to the proposed East Community Assembly (CA) Fitzwalter Road/Glencoe Road/Stafford Road Junction Improvement Scheme. I apologise for the delay in my response but confirm that the points you have raised have been noted and will be investigated, along with all other responses.
The original consultation has now closed and I can confirm that it was undertaken in compliance with existing Council policy and distributed within a consultation area agreed by Ward Members. At this time, the consultation procedure does not include displaying CA schemes on the Council website.
I am now in the process of reviewing and collating all responses to allow me to report back to the East CA . Within the report I will be making a recommendation to re-consult further options to a wider area. I am also able to confirm that one of the additional options for consideration will be a mini roundabout.
If you require any further information about the proposed scheme please contact me.
Yours Sincerely,
Matt Longstaff
