Having decided not to make the treck to London on Saturday for the big protest against the cuts (I am disgusted the TUC are inviting Ed Milliband to speak but not Caroline Lucas) I am pleased there will be a good local green event to get involved with. This is from Coralie Hopwood from Friends of Sheaf Valley Park.
This is just a short email to let you know about a tree planting event that the ranger service has organised for this Saturday 26th March, 10.30am at South Street Park. They would be really pleased for members of FOSVP to attend and help out and find out more about the other plans.
It will be a short event, lasting approximately 1 hour.
There will be further activities over the next few months and we will send out an email in the next fortnight to arrange a meeting to find out more from SCC and discuss and plan around these.
