Public meeting and Q&A with Caroline Lucas MP “From councillor to MEP to MP”
Sheffield Green Party hosted public meeting and Q&A. “A climate emergency requires a Green New Deal for Sheffield & South Yorkshire”. Main speaker Richard Murphy, co-founder of Green New Deal UK. Plus Roshan Lal (Green New Deal South Yorks). Chair Christine Gilligan Kubo (Sheffield Green Party).
Magid’s election to the council in 2016 led to Mayor of Sheffield in 2018 which led to election as MEP in 2019. At a special informal, interactive monthly meeting on March 8th, Magid Magid presented highlights of the last 5 years. Magid outlined how, with your help, the May 6th elections can lead to many more Green councillors and end Labour’s undemocratic rule in the city.
Cllr Alison Teal will Chair the meeting – Alison was first elected by just 8 votes in 2016.
